Before the gallery: the graffiti, street, and commercial origin of Peter Yuill's practice, 2010 to 2017. From a Canadian street-art background to the Hong Kong scene and the HKwalls festival.

Yuill arrived in Hong Kong in 2010 from a Canadian graffiti and street-art background, working in stickers, paste-ups, and walls before moving into commissioned murals and a gallery practice. He participated in the HKwalls street art festival and exhibited early work including Fading Glory at The Cat Street Gallery in 2012. He received the People's Prize at the Asia Contemporary Art Show in 2012, and early work entered the Harrow School collection.
